How to tell if your wife/husband is a narcissist ⚠️

There is a saying pick the right woman she will make your life paradise, pick the wrong one and she will make it hell.. choose wisely! This is so true and rings true for woman picking men. Your life partner or long term relationship has to be build to be strong, full of fun and laughter but with a narcissist you build with the wrong person. Some people out there are not educated in narcissism and sadly fall victim to these sorts of people and even have kids with these people. Narcissist will will often financially and emotionally abuse you as they lack empathy. They will never change and if the do its for their own gain.

I have a story to tell about a woman picking out the wrong man to marry and have a family with, I will tell it here as an example and give you my thoughts on it as someone who knows all about narcissist personality disorder. The name of the woman has been taken out as has the kids and the man in question. This is a REAL story that happened to a woman who just wanted to have a normal family and I hope this educates you to make better decisions in your love life as you never know who’s out there.

I will call them jill and jim, So jill was working in a big city for a few years and managed to climb up the career ladder to a managers position. She was in her early 30s and was doing really well in her personal and in her work life. The company was a brilliant company to work for and she met new people everyday in the fashion store. Of course like any woman she had a few boyfriends before and always dreamed of finding the perfect guy and to have a house and kids. She was saving up while living in a small flat shared by a workmate, she wanted a mortgage on a nice family home but she didn’t have a family yet.

Jim was a narcissist, he had indulged in the narcissistic abuse cycle for years with every woman he was ever involved with. Idealization, devaluation then discard. He was working in the big city the same city as jill and he happened to go into her workplace one day to buy something and that’s how he met jill and got her number. Jim was from faraway, he grew up in a small community and was only working in the city short term.

He dated jill just like normal, texted her and went for food. Both had apartments in the city. He charmed jill making her feel very very special. Admiring her as shed never been admired before, she was a successful smart woman and had done very well for herself. She was full on confidence and light. Jim spoke with jill daily and they both had a work schedule and spend time together at weekends. After 6 months of whirl wind romance jill found herself pregnant unplanned. Jill wasn’t ready for a baby and was happy working in her fashion store and going out with friends then seeing her boyfriend every now and then. Talks were had and Jim couldn’t have been happier. He was in love with jill and wanted to have a family with her, he convinced her that she should relocate back to his hometown with him to have the baby and find a home. Jill would need to give up her flat, her friends and her job that she loved. Jim reassured her that once they relocated he would be the one going to work and she could stay home looking after the baby the after a while she would return to work and everything would be fine.

Jill agreed and wanted to start a family with Jim, this man who had asked for her number one day and swept her off her feet was making her feel like the most special woman in the world, the flattery and the compliments. It was too good to be true. Sadly jill didn’t know about narcissistic personality disorder and alarm bells weren’t going off about how quickly things had moved with Jim. She just thought she got super lucky. Jim did get a flat together for them in his hometown like he said he would and he also got a new job nearby, jill had maternity leave and had intentions of going back to work. She had a lot of savings in the bank and started purchasing items for the baby. She was busy with the baby at home and didn’t see that jim was slowly isolating her from friends and family. It was all jims idea.

It can help reduce acne by opening your pores and helping release acne causing bacteria, dead skin cells and clogged pores can be cleaned out after a steaming session.

Steaming skin can lead to more youthful skin as the increased blood flow during a steam can help elastin and collagen production which leads to smoother skin!

It hydrates your skin by promoting oil production in your skin leading to a naturally moisturised face.

A word of warning !

Hot steam can BURN your skin, please do not get to close and if you feel your skin burning move away a little more. Be careful with the temperature, the last thing you want is a burn. Also the old fashioned way of using a bowl can be dangerous with spills that’s why I would recommend a steaming machine to be on the safe side.

The steamer I use at home

The steamer I use is one I picked up from primark for a bargain price of £12, here is the link. Its really small and comes in a pink and white design. So very easy to use, I just sit it on a table and lean down and get my face Infront of it. I always need to keep moving back as it starts to really get warm. It makes a bit of a weird noise at first as the water bubbles then it fires up in about under a minute and you can see the steam coming out. The amount of blackheads I have got out using this steamer makes me so happy. What I do is use the primark blackhead suction device after steaming aswell as just old fashioned squeezing. My primark steamer is a dupe for the Panasonic Nano Ionic One-Touch Operation Facial Steamer which is a sell out !

How often should you steam your face ?

Dermatologist say no more than 3 times a week, thick and oily skin can tolerate more steaming than thin and normal skin and if you have rosacea please watch out as steaming can make the appearance of rosacea worse. Steaming sessions should be 10 to 15 minuets maximum and can be a great addition to your weekly skincare routine.

What type of water should I use ?

Distilled water is filtered, purified, and free of minerals, bacteria, and pollutants, so your best to use distilled water.
