There is a gift shop on site alongside a café, there’s a golf course and acres of glen to explore.. Under 3s get in for free so its a great day out for wee ones, there was so many wee ones laughing and smiling at the animals.

Calderglen Country Park has a Zoo and tropical conservatory, ornamental gardens, nature trails and walks, courtyard café, toddlers’ play area, adventure play area and an 18 hole golf course.

There was a wildcat in the zoo but unfortunately he wouldn’t come out of his hiding space, I waited for a while but he must have been sleeping but overall it was great to get so close and experience the animals, The garden area is well kept with lots of lovely flowers and areas to sit on a nice day.

A massive spider must be a prop left over from halloween 🦇

The zoo is well kept and you can see the workers take pride in keeping this place clean and functioning, the animals seem happy and well looked after, you can see fish, monkeys and birds etc. If your into meerkats then this is your place, lots of meerkat trinkets in the shop and also you get so up close at the meerkat enclosure.

A great wee gift shop full of kids toys

Bracklinn falls, scotland | Beautiful photographs

Bracklinn Falls is a series of waterfalls north-east of Callander, Scotland, on the course of the Keltie Water where it crosses the Highland Boundary Fault. The falls are situated in a beautiful wooded gorge and are one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Scotland. They have been visited by Queen Victoria and are especially impressive after heavy rainfall. Visitors can admire the falls from a viewpoint bridge suspended above the cascade. The falls can be reached with an easy walk from a car park close to Callander.

The bridge has been updated, as there used to be a different style of bridge here at the falls for many years that was then unsafe due to old age. There a lot of sheer drops which do not have a fence so be careful with small children or dogs visiting the area, in recent years a few dogs have fell in and been injured here.

There were a few photographers here at the falls, lots of wildlife and nature to capture with some great angles to work with around the site.
