Nail Art Tool Guide | Get started with nail art

Fancy trying some nail art? Here you will find a simple breakdown of the tools you will need to create amazing looks at home and save money going to the salon ! remember having the correct tools and the know how you can go really far, hopefully you enjoy this guide and create some lovely new nail designs. If you are unsure of the tools and brushes you can google each of the names and you will easily find a visual.

Dotterย โ€“ Perfect for creating dots all over your nails with nail polish, this is probably the most popular and recognised nail art tool thatโ€™s out there. The dotter is great for beginners and you will have no problem getting started with this tool.

Fan Brush โ€“ This brush is used for layering and blending your nail colours and also can be used to brush off stray glitter.

Nail striping tape โ€“ You can find nail striping tape online such as on ebay, you can create any sort of lines you wan on your nail using this easy method. You can use masking tape to create lines or shapes too by simply cutting a design into it carefully!

Striper brushesย โ€“ Haha not stripper brushes lol, striper brushes create stripes hence the name, These are easy to use and a must have for any girl who loves to create nail art at home. Although be warned they can get ruined easily if you don’t clean them properly!

Foundation spongesย โ€“ You can use square foundation sponges to create ombre looks on nails but be warned it does take some practice, the ombre effect is very trendy and can look fabulous if done properly. I have done a post about ombre nails so click here to see it !

Detail Brushโ€“ This brush is stiff to give you control over intricate designs, think of it like a paintbrush specifically for nails! you will need this brush if your serious about nail art.

Nail Art Polish โ€“ These are skinny bottles of nail polish that come with a striper brush built into the top, you can easily create designs. Brands sell these such as NYX Cosmetics or you can get them on amazon or ebay.

Flat brush โ€“ These brushes are perfect for short strokes, like drawing in the white tips of a French manicure, or some detail on flowers etc, id ay this is more of an advanced nail art tool which will be used by beauticians more. If your really upping your nail art game I would suggest getting this brush and all other special nail brushes.

Nail art pens โ€“ These are the newest kids on the block, they are basically designed like pens so you can draw like you would be using a pen or pencil. I personally donโ€™t like these as I find it dries up and becomes hard to use and I think thatโ€™s a reason they havenโ€™t really toke off in the beauty world, some people love em some hate em lol.

Nail Art Gemsย โ€“ You can find just about any colour of nail art gems, blue, green yellow etc. Simply use nail glue to stick them on. Only down side is that through out time they will break off as we use our hands everyday! and it can be annoying having to glue them back on. You can find nail gems on ebay and even in stores like Primark at the beauty section.

A few videos to get you inspired to create some nail art with nail tools!

Lux skin LED facial mask review | Skin therapy to prevent and treat acne and get younger and firmer skin !

My LED mask is a massive part of my skincare routine, I use this led lux skin facial mask weekly and cannot recommend it enough to my subscribers. I am not an affiliate of lux skin and this is not a sponsored post, all sponsored content will be mark as * Sponsored post. Sometimes I just like to write and review amazing products for my readers to learn something new.

Right now there are many LED face masks on the market, the one I am showing you today is by Lux Skin an affordable skincare brand with lots of great products for your skincare routine. This mask takes 30 minuets to charge and it will give you 2 hour use time, you can put it on and move around with no need to stay laying down. I like to do things while I wear mine around the house. Some LED light skincare masks sell for ยฃ1,000.. like woah ! Mines was only ยฃ 40 pound!

Each LED Light colour has a different benefit for the skin.

  • Red Light – 620nm to 660nm wavelength – Great anti-aging benefits because of its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Red light therapy also helps with Eczema and Psoriasis.
  • Blue Light – 410nm to 470nm wavelength – Great for acne treatment. Stimulates the production of oxygen radicals that kills acne-causing bacteria without damaging the skin.
  • Yellow Light – 590nm to 630nm wavelength – Used to cleanse the skin, boost lymphatic flow, and increase production of new skin cells.
On red light mode ๐Ÿฅฐ

The results I have from this mask have been superb, younger looking skin.. yes… firmer skin…yepp. Comments on how clear my skin looks… yes… less breakouts.. absolutely ! Would look into getting another LED mask in the future as I love the results this gives me. I don`t suffer from acne but I have heard red light and blue is fantastic for acne sufferers and if it can help someone clear up acne then this blog post has been worth writing. Let me know in the comment section your results with LED skincare. I would be curious to know how this affects others skin as it has worked so well on mine.
