Welcome to my micro course on how to start out in hairdressing, obviously your first step is to have an interest in hairdressing in general because if you do not it will be very boring for you and not your correct path. I would advise you to look at something else such as doing eyebrows or holistic therapies!
To figure out if you really want to proceed in hairdressing you need to practice even before starting or enrolling on a course. Practice on family members, try to copy some online tutorials etc. If you don’t have many people to practice on you need a dolls head. You can find dolls heads on eBay specifically a braiding doll is good to practice hair ups etc. Braiding only dolls are not for cutting or blow-drying or styling, there are other kinds of dolls for this but are more expensive.
First steps to take :
Buy a dolls head from eBay
Buy a personal kit, paddle brush, bands, decorations, clips, kirbies.
