Today I went on a wee trip to hobbycraft at the glasgow fort ! The child in me came out today.. as in school I loved art and crafts. My eyes were like saucers looking at the model aeroplanes and paint your own kits π

Can you guess what I picked up ? Scroll to the bottom of the post to see my review of the items, also remember if you are a student flash your student I.D at the till and you can receive a discount. They also have a loyalty scheme if you are a frequent customer. I would recommend this hobbycraft store to all you creatives out there, it was a very well organised store and the staff were so kind and helpful. The glasgow fort hobbycraft store also has a lovely icecream stall outside of it and plenty of nice food places to sit down and eat at, click here to find out more info on the glasgow fort.

Recently I have been researching clean eating and making my own sauces and jam etc at home, the glass jar and bottle section didn’t disappoint today in hobbycraft. So if your looking for storage for juices, sauces or preservatives then this section in hobbycraft is perfect to met your needs. You cant see in the picture above but to the right they had packs of glass storage such as packs of 6 and 12, you can see it slightly to the right of the picture above.

There were plenty children’s jewellery making kits and make your own kits was tempted to get them even though I’m childless….Do you remember those foil art things that you scratch to reveal a picture ? I nearly bought one for myself.. haha. Upstairs is where you need to look if your more into sewing and fabrics etc…

The sewing machines and material section you will find upstairs, you have an incredible assortment of ribbon, fabric and zips etc. The cheapest sewing machine was Β£45 as you can see in the picture.. this is a great starter machine, or good to give as a gift. I learned young how to sew and use a machine and found it very fun, although I did have some accidents with my fingers π¬

Such a great selection of revell plastic model kits, even a starwars ship that looked so cool. I’m not into building planes and ships etc but this really looks like a lot of fun. I wonder how long the titanic kit would take to make ? what you think ?
Ok so I was only in to pick up a glue gun and some glue sticks.. kinda boring I know.. but I have been sorting out my boxes and storage at home and have a lot of creative projects that require a glue gun. Hopefully I can post about them one day on this blog and let you all see what I have been getting up to creative wise. So I got a cute mini glue gun and some glue stick supplies to last me awhile, although there are tons more things I would have loved to get today at hobbycraft but I have studying to do and don’t have time for many creative projects. So another visit to glasgow fort hobbycraft may come up in the future. I`m curious to know what my readers use glue guns for? any creative projects going on out there? Tell me in the comment section and also leave your blog links too.

Another thing I picked up was a carry case which is meant for paints and paintbrushes, It has some good little compartments inside which is perfect for makeup storage… so I will be using it for makeup storage instead. I will do a full other post on this soon. I also picked up a tiny treasure chest box that was at the till and spur of the moment purchase as it was just too cute! I have a lovely idea for this box and i cant wait to blog about what I turn it into!
