Recently got myself a lovely reusable travel water bottle that I can take on my travels or to work outs to stay hydrated, I drink so much water but I am aware that too many plastic bottles are used for water and that is polluting our planet… its horrid. Often I have thought we should as a society adopt using reusable water bottles and try to minimise plastic bottle use.
Bottle up was founded in amsterdam with one goal in mind… to end single use plastics for water. In amsterdam the canals are littered with single use plastics! So why not do something about it? The fantastic team behind bottle up did and they are on the way to achieving this goal.

Bottle up water bottles are made of sugar cane and are free of BPA, they can be reused until they break! They come already filled with spring water from elmhurst spring, the bottle is 500ml and you can choose from many different colours and designs. Even the label is made from recycled material. These guys believe in zero waste and recycling.

Would it shock you if I told you that right now over 100 million water bottles are in the sea… that doesn’t include on land. These plastic bottles will take 450 years or more to biodegrade ! Chemicals from these plastics leach into the environment and pose a risk to marine life, animals and humans. Studies have linked plastic pollution to reproductive issues and cancers. Its very important as a collective consciousness that we try to change this horrible situation for the future of our planet and our children’s children.
